When my kids were little ones I got a small spray bottle and put water and glitter in it. We called it the boo-boo spray. The kids knew they could use it when they got hurt as liberally as they wanted and without assistance. It was a popular item in our house. I wish I had something like this instead of glitter water.
 
That was the inspiration for this spray. We found it was difficult, almost impossible to find a healing and nourishing skin/bug repellent spray that didn’t use essential oils. We wanted to make something that supports the skin’s natural micro biome. 
 
This can be used to prevent bug bites and is also a super healing spray for any skin issues. Such as sunburn, rashes, bug bites, cuts, scrapes, etc. 
 
Ingredients: Organic, locally grown, fresh yarrow flowers and leaves extracted in organic alcohol free witch hazel. Blended with our locally farmed organic lavender hydrosol. This combo is powerful!
 
Yarrow has anti-microbial and astringent qualities that reduce inflammation and infection, slow bleeding, aid in healing and is a well known bug repellent.
 
Lavender has analgesic properties (think numbing), and is an insecticide. It relieves the itch of bug bites. Which makes it useful for preventing bug bites AND treating them! Lavender is a nervine so it also calms the anxiety from the stress of being hurt. 
 
Herbs are amazing and results can be immediate! For most herbal formulas you want to use liberally and consistently for best results. 
 
Hydrosols, also known as botanical water, is a steam distilled plant extract. The latest studies have shown that essential oils have a similar action in/on the body as antibiotics in destroying beneficial bacteria. Hydrosols can be used on children and pets. They are safe and gentle with no contraindications. Scented candles, plug-in air fresheners, and room sprays often contain fragrance, which are known endocrine disruptors and carcinogens. That said, we still enjoy the benefits of enticing smells, room sprays, skin and wellness products, but need a full spectrum extract to support our body’s natural defenses without destroying beneficial bacteria or introducing toxins—hydrosols are that solution.
